Weekly Weigh-in Results
I have a confession… this week has been BAAAAAD (and not the Michael Jackson kind of bad unfortunately). However, I have been EXTREMELY lucky as I have stayed the same – PHEW!!
What happened this week
This week I’ve had visitors and instead of planning ahead, creating healthy meals that everyone can enjoy, I let myself get carried away with the moment.
Takeout
I’ve had a Chinese take-away. Luckily my local Chinese restaurant and very good and will prepare the fried rice and the Singapore noodles without egg which means I have several options with the vegetable spring rolls. They also do meals with tofu which is excellent considering I live in a small rural town.
The bad news is that while I’m only having the vegetable dishes you’re still looking at well over 30 SmartPoints! Frustratingly, the Weight Watchers App only lists two vegetarian dishes: egg fried rice (16 SmartPoints) and stir-fried vegetables (13 SmartPoints). Looking at the SmartPoints values for the meat versions of everything I relieved that the vegetarian dishes are as low as they are (yes, these are low!!)!
On top of that there have been unhealthy desserts in the form of fruit crumbles with full fat coconut cream; cakes; snacks; and avocado. Avocados are lovely but they are so high in SmartPoints (5 SmartPoints for half an avocado and I ate a whole one! Eek).
Basically I was a human dustbin this week and all those good intentions went right out of the window.
Lucky lucky lucky
I was very lucky when I stepped on the scales as I fully expected to see a gain. It is going to take a whole lot of work to pull a weight loss out of the bag next week!
The main thing is that we shouldn’t let weeks like this get us down and stop our weight loss efforts in their tracks. Easier said than done I know, we’re our own worst critics but remember – you CAN do this and keep going!
Have you had a set back this week? What do you plan to do to get back on track? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear from you.
Have a good week!
